It's finally here! Yes, the long awaited Annual Aliguma Slum Soccer Tournament finals are finally here! The event will take place at the Acholi Quarters grounds in Kireka/Banda, on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Highlights of the day:
Special guest: Minister of Sports, MP Nakawa West, Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi.
Theme: 'Ndi Mwana: The cry of a girl child"
Prizes: Trophies, a cow, goats, medals, jerseys, scholastic materials, balls, UEFA training kits.
Other sports: A netball final between Super 7 and AQ Galacticals Girls will take place concurrently.

The build-up:
It has been quite a journey. 56 teams entered this year's tournament. The growing annual tournament kickoff coincided with the International World AIDS Day commemoration back on December 1, 2023. It's increasing popularity is attracting stronger talent and a wider fanbase.

There will also be a women's category). participating in this tournament.
